Soul Summit Music Festival

Keston and Westdal would like to extend our thanks to White Label Pressure and the organizers of the Soul Summit Music Festival in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn. It was an amazing event and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was one of the best responses we've ever had from an audience and it really energized us. Cheers! Also, thanks to XLR8R for the mention in the magazine (August issue) and article on the website, and to Adidas for the cool shirts! We'll post some pics of the show soon.

Super Structure Baby CD Sale

Recently Coup de Grace supplied us with 300 promotional copies of our full-length recording, Super Structure Baby. This means for a limited time we are offering discounted copies of our first CD for $10 plus $2 shipping. This is a $4 savings over online retailers like Amazon, or Virgin, and the profits go directly to the artists enabling us to create more music for you. This album was composed, recorded and mixed by John Keston and Nils Westdal. Additional percussion was provided by Joshua Herbst. Original vocals by Nishiyama Yohei. Please click the image to purchase and thanks for your support!

Here's a shot of a master at work, Matias Iribarne playing percussion with Keston and Westdal at the Winter Music Conference '05 Paxport Volume 1 (Emunity Records) release party. Matias didn't only kill it on the bongos at the gig, but also put us up in his swank South Beach flat for the duration of the conference. Thanks, Matias!

Emunity "Paxport" WMC'05 Release Party Pics

Notice there's no Rhodes? It was too costly to transport to Miami, so we used 4mula's K-5000 to control a virtual instrument, which we ran through outboard equipment to warm up the sound.

With his excelent choice of tracks, DJ 2Much inspires Nils to pick up the bass.

Here I am carefully programming... something?

DJ Tempural was playing some really nice tracks all night. Nice one, Marco!

The meeting of the minds! Mad scientists, Keston of Keston and Westdal and 4mula of Lazybatusu and Emunity Records pause for a picture.

John Keston and Nils Westdal with Ethan White (middle) of Tortured Soul. Ethan jammed with Nils between our 1st and 2nd set.

Tom Strauch of Switchstance Recordings enjoys a Budweiser while spinning.

Nice party! Great people. Ahh... Memories.
